1. Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services
Hippo and Co (Pty) Ltd. t/a Hipporoo® is a business in the baby products industry that provides parenting accessories.
2. Delivery Policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, orders will be processed within 2 – 5 business days and delivery confirmed by way of email invoice receipt.
Delivery in South Africa
For Local and National deliveries, we make use of The Courier Guy, Dawn Wing and Fast Way door-to-door service. Once your order is processed, it will be marked as shipped and you will receive a tracking number* to track your parcel either here: http://www.thecourierguy.co.za/ or http://www.dawnwing.co.za/ or https://www.fastway.co.za/our-services/track-your-parcel.
*Please allow a few hours after receiving your shipping confirmation for the courier tracking system to update with your parcel details once it has been scanned in by the courier.
For Outlying and Remote deliveries, we make use of PEP Paxi. Your parcel will arrive at the nearest PEP store to your delivery address and you will need to collect it within an allocated time frame from the relative store with your tracking number.
We offer free nationwide delivery on our Hipporoo Baby Carriers. All other products incur delivery fees.
For Local and National Areas we offer a flat rate of R100 for delivery in 3 - 5 business days excluding weekends and public holidays via The Courier Guy, Dawn Wing or Fast Way.
For Outlying and Remote Areas we also offer a flat rate of R100 for delivery via PEP Paxi. You will receive a tracking number and will need to collect your parcel within an allocated time frame at the nearest PEP store to your delivery address.
Order Processing Times
Once an order is placed and payment has cleared, we package and hand it over to the courier company as quickly as possible. Although we aim for same day fulfillment, we cannot always guarantee it due to high sale volumes and unforeseen circumstances.
Orders placed before 10:00 AM are collected from our premises on the same day, with the exception of weekends and public holidays.
Orders placed after 10:00 AM daily are collected in the afternoon or the next business day.
Orders placed after 10:00 AM on a Friday are collected on Monday.
Please note: if you order products from our Weaning & Messy Play Collection (Grippo™ and HungrHippo™) together with products from our Baby Carrier range (Hipporoo®), due to technical limitations you will need to split your cart into 2 orders.
Please leave a note under "Any Special Requests" section on your 2nd order with your 1st order number and we will ensure they are delivered together.
We no longer offer international delivery.
3. Return & Refunds Policy
The provision of goods and services by Hippo and Co (Pty) Ltd. is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Hippo and Co (Pty) Ltd. will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 20% administration fee.
Goods may be returned for a refund or replacement within 21 calendar days of receipt if unopened and unused. Goods must be returned in new condition with all original delivery packaging and materials unopened/sealed*.
Refunds of the purchase price of the goods (deducted the direct costs of returning the goods) will be processed within 30 days of the date of the return request, should the above conditions for return be met.
The original delivery charge will not be refunded and the cost for returning the parcel is at the expense of the returnee.
*Please note, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, returns will only be accepted if the returned items are in their original sealed delivery flyer bag or box. We will not be accepting returns of items that have been opened and/or otherwise used.
Returns for Defects
Our products undergo rigorous product and quality testing approved by SGS. We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality, and are in good working order and without defects.
A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.
The following, inter alia, will not be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return:
